About Garden City and the Corniche

Garden City was laid out in the early 20th century with curving streets of villas south of Tahrir Square. Today its riverfront holds the Four Seasons at Nile Plaza and the Kempinski Nile Hotel, with its rooftop bar; across the narrow arm of the Nile, on Roda Island, stands the Manial Palace.
