Mazeej Balad occupies the historic La Viennoise building in Downtown Cairo, a 19th-century landmark whose original character has been preserved, in the hotel’s words. Its five suites, all on the top floor, each tell the story of one of the cosmopolitan characters who once shaped the Balad (Downtown), with original marble, high ceilings, antique pieces and locally crafted furniture. It is at 11 Mahmoud Bassiouny Street and is part of Design Hotels.
